Gurcharan Wadhwa has been an sfAMA member since 2011 and serves as the President. Gurcharan joined the sfAMA to understand the local marketing landscape and to network with professionals. The marketing industry moves fast, you need to constantly be ahead of the game, and being part of the sfAMA is helpful. Ken McCormick has been an AMA member since 2004 and is serving his fourth Board term at sfAMA as President-Elect. Gene Filipi has been a sfAMA member since 1999 and serves as sfAMA Immediate Past President and is a member of the Advisory Board where he oversees the organization’s finances. Valerie Camarda is a long-time sfAMA member and has most recently served as Vice President, Marketing Communications. She currently serves on the newly formed sfAMA Advisory Board, where she will assist the Sponsorship committee and offer guidance and advice to the organization’s various committees. Currently the owner of Marketing Sense, a marketing and public relations consulting firm, Valerie has over 25 years of experience helping both small and large businesses and non-profits, such as PepsiCo, Kaiser Permanente, Habitat for Humanity, and the YMCA develop and implement marketing plans, communications, and strategy initiatives. David Killebrew joined the sfAMA in 2015 and serves as Vice President, Social Strategy and Engagement. David brings us 25 years of retail, ecommerce and media experience with several Fortune 1000 companies. Having held many senior executive roles, he will utilize his leadership skills to contribute to sfAMA by working to expand the organization to make a larger impact not only in San Francisco, but to increase their presence nationally. Brady Mullin has been an sfAMA member since 2013 and serves as Vice President, Sponsorship. Michelle Killebrew has been involved with the AMA on and off since university and joined the sfAMA in 2015 . She serves as Vice President, Programs. She is passionate about marketing, especially innovative digital marketing strategies that deliver a superior brand experience - from initial acquisition through to loyal customer - and increase growth and profitability. Michelle currently leads digital direct marketing and transformation for the IBM Cloud division where her team is responsible for the marketing strategy and lead generation engine for the division, including a digital lab designed to optimize digital platforms and user experience. Claire Herczeg is a long time member of the AMA and currently serves sfAMA as VP Membership. Claire previously served in many leadership positions for laAMA serving as President 2007-2009. Moving to the Bay Area, she brings her chapter leadership experience and the ability to coalesce a team of people to accomplish goals. With a background in marketing research her orientation is to make decisions on behalf of the membership that are rooted in data. Her goal is to grow the chapter through acquiring new members and increasing renewals by focusing this year on engagement for new members -- getting them involved as volunteers, and by personalizing and making tangible the value of their memberships. Ian Foley joins us both as a new sfAMA member and as Vice President, Community Outreach. His own company has had community outreach as one of its core missions, and he has seen how effective it has been to ground everyone in the broader community, as well as share memorable group activities together that make a difference. For Ian this position provides an opportunity to extend this successful approach to a broader community, and use the outreach to bring new members into the Chapter. Ian is a three time serial entrepreneur in marketing technology and is currently CEO of acuteIQ, an audience intelligence platform.
Eric Weidner has been an sfAMA member since 2010 and serves as Web Content Chair. Eric’s vision for a successful sfAMA is to bring together knowledge and thought leadership to help others in the marketing community succeed. He wholeheartedly believes his fellow members and the sfAMA's resources have helped him stay informed and connected to the industry, and overall practice of great marketing.
