Purpose and Amount
The SFAMA will award at least a $500 scholarship each academic year to an outstanding marketing, advertising, or communications student currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students in educational expenses such as tuition, institutional fees, books, and supplies. If chosen as one of the finalists of the scholarship, you must be prepared to submit proof of enrollment through transcripts at your school.
Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Be attending a private or public four-year college or university
- Attend an educational institution that lies within the Greater San Francisco Bay Area
- Be enrolled in at least 12 academic units per quarter/semester during the year of the scholarship award.
Selection
Applicants must submit a complete online application. A selection committee will determine which applicant best fulfills the eligibility criteria. As noted above, if chosen as one of the finalists during the selection process you must be prepared to show proof of enrollment at a private or public four-year college or university through transcript or other means. Once determined, the scholarship recipient will be notified by email and also recognized on December 11th, 2012 during the SFAMA 75th Anniversary Holiday Event.

Deadline The deadline to apply is November 27th, 2012. All submissions must be done through the online application.
Incomplete applications and those received after the deadline will not be considered. NO EXCEPTIONS
