Drue Banta
Senior Director, Walk to End Alzheimer’s
Alzheimer’s Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada
Drue Banta is focused on working with Bay Area communities to unlock nonprofit solutions to today’s most pressing issues, including the myriad complications of navigating Alzheimer’s disease and all other forms of dementia. His interest in community fundraising at U.S. nonprofits stemmed from the research for his Master’s thesis in China which explored the role of NGOs in mediation of international water rights conflicts along the Mekong River. After developing a passion for the nonprofit sector with United Way and the Boy Scouts of America one decade ago, Drue served as Development Director with the Alzheimer’s Association West Texas Chapter. Currently, he is the Senior Walk Director leading the nationwide #10 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – San Francisco for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Northern California & Northern Nevada Chapter.
